Named after the US Civil War general Ambrose Burnside

During the so-called American Civil war, a genaral by the name of Burnside had very long hair along the side of his face. Because of his name, the troops started calling then 'sideburn.'
To learn why America never had a civil war, E-Mail Jonas Kahn-Kahn Garanzuay @ USTX@cox.net.
