If one was in a job interview process with a company manager and had been given an indication after the first interview that they would be contacted to meet with their HR dept for a second interview which after 45 days hasn't happened, is the opportunity dead?
Was told by the manager interviewing that I had the background & experience they were looking forand he would contact me to set up a sexond meeting with HR.
I followed up the same day of the interview with a thank you email and indicated my desire to pursue the position, and two weeks later a second follow up email to reinforce the same.Finally a third email asking for a status on the position and my potential to be considered for a next step interview.....with no response to date

This seems to have draged on a bit,
the only thing I would do is say that you had computor trouble (its only a white lie)and say that you are chasing up the position and was wondering wether they had posted another e-mail and let them answer and if they dont it looks like you havnt got the job hope this dose not happen and good luck for the future Mel

Yes I have thought of this as well. I called the manager that interviewed me and repeatedly just got his voicemail.Left a voicemail to inquire on his voicemail....and still no reply.
Well you do know now that this is not your job as Umbriel had quoted would you really want to work for a company that has no manners quite frankly I would say you deserve better when I have done interveiws for employing i would never dream of not letting that persons know wether they have been succesful or not it is not good. Dont worry you will get the job you deserve Good luck for the future Appleby Interiors Melanie
