    blisters on hands from gardening, what to do?

    my daughter's hands are covered with blisters from gardening. What
    can I do to help her? Thank You!

    I would have her soak her hands in cold water just to alleviate the pain. Other than that, let nature take it's course. I found this on line but I highly doubt you'll do it...I personally would not. http://www.ehow.com/how_5118381_treat-blisters-hands.html

    Blisters only hurt because of the liquid build up in them. It's like that mega pimple that hurts like the dickens before the pressure is released by popping it.

    Cold water soaks and bandaging the hand to relieve the painfulness of the blisters is my best suggestion. Bandages actually do cut down on the pain for some reason.

    Remember, if she decides to pop them, use a good disinfectant and keep the blisters covered after. Do not tear the skin away. That will cause terrible pain. Leave the loose skin over the blistered spot until the spot heals and is not tender anymore. Then simply and carefully cut away any lose skin that might remain.
    Tell her to wear gloves next time.
