        Because you are in the water for a long time - like babies who are overdue they are in the amniotic fluid too long, they are born wrinklely and soft.

          Water pressure vs. air pressure. We're used to living in air, water is heavier so after a while skin gets softer from the water and the pressure difference pushes the skin making it wrinkly.
