If you're talking about wild geese, I believe they only brood one time per year. So if all the goslings from this brood died, you will see no more til next year.

If captive geese, a female sometimes will set (brood) the eggs if you place them in a nest for her. It takes a very comfortable goose to do this however. Comfortable with you and her surroundings. Her mate may take over the male duties of standing guard and assisting with the goslings but again, this depends on his comfort level.

If a nest is lost during laying or the first few days of incubation an adult pair of geese may attempt to renest, but renesting, especially later in the spring is uncommon.
