I have an external USB harddrive by Seagate. I recently had to rebuild my computer and have lost the drive letter to access this drive. How can I get it back?

When, I rebuilt my computer I was supposed to disengage the external drive but was unable to do so before relaunching my computer as it locked up and I did not get the information until after the rebuild process was under way. Now, the computer recognizes the drive but I cannot access it with out a drive letter to tell the computer where to go in order to explore this drive. How can I get this machine to see the seagate external USB drive once again?

Go to Control Panel, Add Hardware, Follow the instructions until you get to Troubleshoot Hardware. If that doesn't help, unload the drive and re-install it following the above instructions.
