Why do my hands ache every morning and feel swollen?

I am curious why my hands have started to ache and get pins and needles throughout the day, and my hands just throb? I am 49 and wondered if it is just wear and tear to an old girl like me.

Yes, carpel tunnel syndrome. I have been diagnosed with it but it doesn't bother me. don't stay at the keyboard too long. put your hands above your head and wiggle your fingers. You say your joints hurt and that's a sign of arthritis. Our computers are dangerous!

I have carpel tunnel syndrome and my hands get numb and tingle. Go to a doctor to find out.
