    Edit answer option needed.

We need the option to remove an answer we have made in error (or in poor judgement). I always check my wording and spelling before clicking on the Post Answer button, but once in a while I later realise it was not correct or in bad taste. Our only option is Edit Answer which will not allow us to completely remove it. This morning I edited an answer by removing all the words except the period (Which apparently annoyed another member). Suggestions?

The problem with deleting a question is that it would make answers "orphans". Editing the questions could also make the answers that follow look ridiculous.

Maybe there should be a grace period of 2 minutes or so until the question is "finalized."

Thanks, I agree, but the topic was about an "answer" made then realised I had misinterpreted the question.
