There seems to be a shortage of dentists in many countries, UK, Aus, NZ France. The policy has been to train as many women dentists as men. Women are excellent dentists having more empathy and better manual skills, but women have career breaks to raise children so their total work output is lower than men's. A few countries are over=producing dentists, Spain and Poland for example. I doubt if the US would consider importing dentists but the UK has done so.
