    MY LEASE ENDED MARCH 31,CAN THE LL RE-RENT THE APT BEFORE APRIL 1ST AND STILL CHARGE ME FOR ALL OF MARCH,OR DOES HE HAVE TO PRORATE ME THE DIFFERENCE OF WHEN IT WAS RE-RENTED IN MARCH?

    I BROKED THE LEASE IN DEC,THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE REMAINING MONTHS,I GUESS MY QUESTION IS CAN HE CHARGE ME ALL OF MARCH,OR JUST UP UNTIL THEY RE-RENT THE APT.

    This would depend to some degree upon the state where you live, what your lease says and what the landlord/tenant rights are in the state where you live.
    Here in OK, at my current complex, you are required to give 30 days written notice when you are ready to move out, and you pay your entire final month's rent. If you move out on the day after that, you are not entitled to any refund of that final month, even if they get it clean and rent it the following day. My guess would be that you are not entitled to any refund of your final month of rent, no matter the time he chose to re-rent it after you gave notice of your intent to vacate.
