      I too am a Nascar fan and I wondered the same thing myself and heard it was part of a Lowe's promotion (Jimmie Johnson's sponsor) but I don't know the details of same.

        According to some of their other ads, the #5 represents an additional 5% off items already marked down for a special sale. If they had any brains, they should have run a couple of TV spots to call attention to the additional 5%.
