Without trying to confuse you too much a frost free `fridge forms ice in the section between the frezzer and the fresh food compartment. A fan blows air across this ice and so cools the two sections. NOW periodicaly a heater switches on in this "ice" area and melts the ice to water which goes to a tray on the uderside of the `fridge and is evaporated. Your problem is I am 99.9 per cent certain is the heater is not switching on and so too much ice is forming.
