    WHAT CAUSES HOSTAS TO TURN YELLOW

    EVER YEAR THEY GET LARGER, BUT THEY TURN YELLOW AND BY THE END OF JUNE THEY ARE BROWN.

      They are drying up. Should be in shade or partial shade and if put in the full sun, will burn up. Some varieties are better in the sun than others, mostly the green and white ones are OK with a little more sun, but they really are happier in the shade.
