Throw it in the bin, I detest any device that frightens a dog be it by sound, smell or electric impulse.

As a man that has been around dogs all my 79 years I can tell you you do not train a dog by fear. Dogs are a pack animal and they wish to please their leader, so you become the leader and they will do anything for your praise.

If you have a dog that barks when you are not there and you hope the cruelty device will work yes it probably will but at what cost?

Boredom is why a dog in that situation barks, lots of toys changed each few days, that is have say nine toys and rotate their use at say three each day. A big marrow bone works wonders. Lots of praise when you return.Please don`t use the collar I don`t care what the so called "experts" say it is cruelty to the best friend you will ever find.
