Depending on the size of the company, the typical severance is 1 month per year employed. This is not the legal minimum, however. Even if they have offered you 11 months severance, you should consult a labour lawyer. This is routine stuff for them. Keep in mind that the offer is not necessarily cast in stone and may be negotiable.
Tip: Usually, the payments cease upon you securing a new job or are clawed back by half. If you think that you'll land another job well before the severance expires, you may want to consider accepting a smaller lump sum payment instead. This way you keep it all.
