    I am on s.s. disability my wife is retiring next year. she is a teacher. she will receive a pension will this affect her portion of my disability?

    I too am on SSDI...I never heard of one's spouse receiving a portion of one's own disability payment while the recipient is living...a new one on me! But I should think that her pension should not be affected by your SSDI payment nor should your disability payment be calculated or reduced by the amount of her pension. Though if I were you I would contact your local social security office with your question. If the number you call cannot answer your question they should be able to refer you to someone that will.
