    my soil in the yard is dead... the garden tomatoes plants do not grow that big.

    When I put the garden tomatoes in. They do not seem to grow much...It is like the nutrients in the soil are gone. It is just a small yard and the tomatoes and garden is along the house and fence.

      Fertilize, add some bagged garden soil, fertilize, add peat moss, fertilize. Make sure there is enough sun to help them grow.
