Find a charity that employs a vet or will pay or help pay the cost of a vet.
The problem sounds like it be could be cured but you'll lose the cat if it isn't treated fast... and if anybody finds out you left it to suffer you could find yourself in court and fined.
I don't mean to sound harsh. You love the cat or you wouldn't be asking the question.
I'm HOPING you're in the UK because there are charities here that will help in a case like this. If you can't find one, go to a vet and explain. They aren't likely to do anything for free but they might know where you could get free help... and that may be the case in any country.
If travelling is too expensive unless you know you can get free help, try a few local phone calls.

True, many of the people who are affiliated with cat rescue will know vets that will help with problems like this, I'm not about the humane society, most likely they will help.
Male cats that have been neutered usually have this problem. Mine had the same problem my vet discounted the bill down to about $300.00 and let me make them payments. I had to put him on the expensive food after that, diet is the main cause of this problem, the cheaper cat food contains ash, or something that is bad for them.

Same in Australia, the RSPCA will help. No vet that I have had dealings with would not do probono if the circustances are right. No vet would help someone half drunk, smoking a cigarette or high on drugs, but I am sure this is not you so call your local vet and put the situation to him/her. Ask to speak to the vet not just the receptionist.
