About the fellows on the History Channel's "Pawn Stars": How do Rick Harrison, "The Old Man", Big Haas seem to know so much about the items that customers come in to either pawn or sell? and if they don't they seem to always have a buddy that knows.

It is a reality show for entertainment purposes. If someone brings in an item for sale and they feel it would be an interesting item to have on the show, they ask the person if they can film the transaction.........and then they research the item on Google or such so they know how to proceed on camera and so they know what ballpark price is.
