They are called mountain tramway cable systems. Gondolas or swiss cable cars.

I love Coachella valley ,I got to escape the 120 degree heat in august on the p springs tramway when i lived there. I miss Cali,live in North H Town now.THATS TEXAS YA"LL YEE!HAA!COWABUNGA DUDE ,"and DUDETTES" I like girls so i always include equal inclusivness
