Any number of possibilities. Suggest that you consider sales which will place you in front of customers and allow you to develop confidence in terms of communication, product knowledge, thinking on your feet etc.

Take a college speech course; perhaps to include something available at a local community college.

While not necessarily shy, many years ago I took a 'Dale Carnegie' course which enhance my public speaking skills. Depending on your age, there is a platform for young men/women who meet and routinely engage in public communiation. Can't think of the name. Perhaps you can Google....
