Lizards are not any threat to you or your home. They stay mainly outside homes to absorb sunlight. When the sun goes down they usually just look for a place OUTSIDE to hide. I'm sure some may find their way into a house but that's not where they want to be.
I wouldn't worry about it unless your talking about MONITOR LIZARDS. If that's the case.....RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! ;)
