What words ? It's already complex.

COMPLETE means finished, done, without missing parts.  Think of a jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces are in place.  It is complete...nothing left to do!

COMPLEX is more difficult, requiring many steps, more thought than something considered simple or elementary.  COMPLEX is often considered complicated, but isn't always.  Complex requires more thought and attention.  A jigsaw puzzle of the alps with 1000 pieces would be more complex than a 30 piece puzzle of "Waldo".

The words are neither contradictory nor similar.  They have specific meanings which do not appear to be related at all to me!

those two words are not similar, and are not related to each other.
