    Is there a way to fax from a MacIntosh (OS X 10.6.7) without a traditional phone line?

      Nope. You need a phone line to fax. Why not just attach the document you have to an email and email it instead? It will accomplish the same thing.

        Certain agencies are still in the '70's, particularly the Government, require faxes for job applications, etc.
