There will be a number on the caseback or dial of your watch that lets you know relative water resistance but it's link not as simple as "x number means link I can do y thing in the water." It's a nuanced topic. It's link wise to factor for the intent of the watch. A dress watch with 30 meters was likely never meant to get wet, while a 100m sports watch with a screw down crown could likely be used while diving.

Although they are very different watches in terms of horological sophistication what they do have in common is the frying-pan vibe. Both have for-their-time oversized cases link and both have slab-sided case flanks and large sharply angled bezels the two together would make a lovely two-watch collection if your finances can withstand link getting out of the frying link pan and into the fire.
