      It does eventually shut off though right? I need to know if it never shuts off (ignition problem) or if it roughly shuts down but only after a few minutes. (carb or as dwayne said, water in the gas).

        OK, so now it won't start? A lot of smoke from the engine, where? With so little information from you, I can only suggest you take it to a mechanic.

        water in the gas will sometimes cause this is it idling roughly
