To make MSN your home page (the page you first see when you open the application) go to the MSN.com page and set it as a home page:

In Firefox: you have two options. Highlight the URL in the address bar and drag it to the home icon on the right. Or, go to Tools > Options > in the General tab, click 'Use Current Page' under Home Page.

In Safari: on the top menu bar, go to Safari > Preferences > in the General Tab click 'Set to Current Page' under Home Page.
