Not drying your feet properly especially between the toes, after a shower or you can catch the bug in communical showers. the skin cracks open between the toes enabling bateria to penetrate, can be painfull. in communical showers it pays to wear sandles or thongs[ footwear - not panties] this can help prevent picking up the tinea bug.
