if i have worked at a company for 10 years and have always had every other weekend off even if its not written in my contract does this become custom and practise which my employer cant change.

I have been informed by my manager last week that i now have to work part of my weekend off so i will not be having a full weekend off.

probaly not is right, but what about sick days, you could use them to your advantage
I should think since it is not written into your contract, that they can change it anytime they want.
