This is a big problem here. Your wise to avoid travelling without insurance unless you have several thousand dollars lying around in case of emergency.

Most of the on line companies have restrictions to 70 or 75 (or even younger) and are very inflexible, I suspect, for ease of administration.

Ignore all the standard packages offered by travel companies and banks and go to an insurance broker who would be able to try to get insurance based on your individual circumstances. I think it would be well worth trying.

Whatever happens you must be entirely up-front about any existing medical condition and medication however trivial it may seem.
