    Which setting deletes/cancels what is on the screen at the moment?

    Your question is too vague. 


    If you want to delete text - press the command + A keys on your keyboard. It will highlight all the text on screen that you've typed in. Now press the backspace key. All the text highlighted will be deleted. 


     


    If you want to close a window or software or anything on your computer, press the escape key on your keyboard. It's usually the top left corner, 'esc'.
