    My laptop is telling me that me license is about to expired. Since when do we used a license to use a laptop or internet?

    I have had several computers. This is my first laptop and is asking me to renew my "licence". I don't understand what it means. Please help!!

          I would guess its referring to your anti-virus software license. Most new computers come with a trial version that is only good for about 90 days. If so, there are free ones you can download (Avast, AVG2011, etc.).
