A great many people join everyday. Not all realize this is a forum however. Some think it connects them to a business they are trying to reach so they don't ever come back. I think they believe the business will contact them by phone or mail? Not sure. I just know we take the time to answer and they never come back to see the answer. That part gets annoying/frustrating but we move on the the next question anyway ;)

This page you see is, in forum lingo, called a thread. It's a break off of the main page where topic titles are listed. So when you see me mention a thread, I mean the actual page where the answers to the question are given. What I was suggesting to Fia is to keep questions pertaining to the forum and how everything here works in one place (one thread) so it's not all scattered in many different threads. Make sense?
So, if you have a further question related to the thread ask it on that page in the answer box or as a comment? Sorry, I'm a tad dense at times!
Either way is fine. The answer box tends to work better for sending an alert that a question has been responded to though. Not sure why as both should case an alert or notification as it's actually called.

Ya I was thinking it would sure be nice if there were notifications for responses to comments...like this one. But, then I thought that that would be awfully tedious!! Thanks for the help!
You know about the red circle up to the left near the logo right? That lets you know someone has responded to a topic you've been in. If you click it, it will show you the topic that's been commented to. It also lets you know if someone has given you a thumbs up or down. It should work for both comments and new questions but it doesn't always.
It tells me when someone answers one of my questions, or comments on my answers, but not for times like now when you comment on my comment to your answer. But, then I'm interested and know how it works now, so I come back and check!
I know, I need to mention to the programmers, the system is glitching and not giving a notification for comments too. Hopefully they can fix that.

dont know the actual stats but, it seems to me ,one per minute would be about right.. to bad most dont stick around long enough for the answer

You can keep using your first thread to ask questions in. It's good to have questions and answers about the forum all in one place. It's helpful for other new members as they find their way here. :)

Yes, we have many new members everyday-- Most don't come back though.. We have several regulars too! They are very helpful..

I do have the power to ban myself Vinny. Anything to make you happy. Just say the word and *poof* I'm gone :) (Side note to the people who do not like me, this only works for Vinny.)
I banned myself from my own forum once, it took me 4 days to get back in.. Nah, Colleen, I don't want you to ban yourself, even if you did, I'd follow you to the next QA place.. :) You're right, I do love you but you don't like boys.. My loss.. :( Just my luck, I fall in love with a lesbian.. LOL..
