If you had a dog:
1. who is going to buy it's food, groom and bathe it, pay the vet bills etc?
2. Who will care for it when you are at your prom, wedding, on your honeymoon, at work? Hopefully it will live 10 to 18 years.
3. Where will you store it's "poop" until the garbage pick-up day?
Maybe you could talk to her about raising and training a guide dog, which you would give up in about a year?
