    Medigap refers to all kinds of supplemental health insurance plans that are sold to Medigap beneficiaries in the US that are providing medical expenses not or not completely covered by Medicare.
    A person must be in part A and part B in Medicare before they can get into a Medigap plan.

    Medicap derives it's name from the "gap" between the expenses reimbursed by Medicare and the total charging.
