    why do Canadians stay out of their country for only 6 months of a year?

    So that's why they leave for 6 months. To avoid the cold. We have people in the states who do the same thing. They live in the north until fall then head for Florida to live there til spring. We just have a shorter winter than Canadians have.

    I know some Canadians and they stay in their country all year long. Which Canadians are you asking about?
    perhaps cause the other 6 months their on holiday
    because 12 months is too long!
    Some of us are tough and stay here!!! Actually I don't have anything against snow birds...my grandparents were and loved meeting their friends down south every winter. They usually went for three months, though!
