I am certain you could get a bus for straight to Dover as one thing the Brits are good at is tranport.

we are not so good at the weekends try getting across London at the weekend using public tranport can be a bloody nightmare.
I will be there in October and I bet my daughter who lives at Walthamstow could get me there in a flash. Crikey as on train pulls out of the tube station another on is coming in.
