What were you diagnosed with 7 yrs. ago. Hypothroid (underactive Thyroid)? Benign Nodules on your Thyroid may be caused by a lack of iodine. I was diagnosed with Hyperthroid about 10 yrs ago, the opposite of Hypothroid, Which produces too much Hormones, resulting in an overactive Metabolism. I too had nodules on my Thyroid. Eventually I was treated w. radioactive iodine and my
nodules disappeared exept for very small one. It sounds like your Thyroid has changed its course. You should get a new evaluation asp.
