      You didn't give enough information. What error message are you getting.

      The simplest thing to try is open another doc and copy paste there the data then try to save it.
      You can also try it with Google's online word processor.

        I wrote a letter. I couldn't save it, so I opened a second word doc and tried to save this but it won't save. I can press save but it won't let me chose where (decument, Jump drive or desktop?
