Yes, Debbie Reynolds is her mother, a very talented actress, singer, dancer and entertainer and a very fine person. The father was the vocalist Eddie Fisher, famous for the song "Oh, My Papa", in particular. They were divorced and Eddie married Elizabeth Taylor (after her husband, Michael Todd, had died in an airplane crash). They were later divorced and Elizabeth married Richard Burton, the actor. Carrie Fisher is a fine movie director, writer, and actress. She turned out quite well for all the drama in her youth caused by divorce, fame, and her own celebrity.
