Test a small, hidden area of the fabric to ensure it is color fast.

Saturate the polish with bug spray (I use Deep Woods Off, but anything similar will work).

Gently work the spray into the fabric using a soft toothbrush or a rag, using more bug spray as necessary. The paint base will begin to "gum" up into clumps. Keep working bug spray into the stain until all the paint is gone. Rinse well with water.

Apply stain remover to the remaining stain, as the bug spray may only remove the paint base, not the color. Work the stain remover into the stain until all the color is gone.

Wash item separately to prevent the transfer of bug spray to other clothing.
