I'm going soon and am choosing equipment for the trip. I can't decide between the freeride and freestyle boards offered on the website. I want a board that is maneuverable for easy tricks, but I'm afraid it will be unstable at high speeds and in deep snow. Which board is better suited to the slopes and terrain of Courchevel for a snowboarder with little experience?

I rented both types in Courchevel on two different visits. The freestyle board was uncomfortable on the terrain there, there are mostly wide piste slopes, not a trick park. Next time, I took a freeride board, which was much more comfortable on long descents and in soft, off-piste snow. I booked both rentals on the Ski Rental — Compare & Book Online website. Last season, I rented a full set with a freeride board and medium-hardness boots for about €35 per day. The equipment was in excellent condition, so I recommend choosing a freeride board. How many days are you planning to stay? If its at least a week, then you should definitely try skiing.

How diverse is the terrain for freeriding, and are there quality snow parks? Also, how much do the stiffness and handling of these boards differ for those of us who are only in our second season of skiing? I would greatly appreciate advice from experienced riders who have tried the local slopes!
