I think the fact that the lume is hand-applied is even more evident when you look at the shot with the lume glowing.Overall, though, this is a nice, classically designed watch from a family-owned operation that tries to give customers something extra – for example, a sketch of each watch by the company's co-founder and designer – while offering a very nice value proposition. That's a nice breath of fresh air, and something worth knowing about.

Sure, it's still the same 41mm in diameter and about 15mm in thickness (with the same chronometer-certified MT5652 movement inside as the BB Pro), but the GMT case offers some visual relief via creative beveling to reduce the appearance of that thickness.But as frustrating as missing out on a great "drop" is, don't give up hope. There's still plenty to love about the Unimatic diver and field watches in this release and they are still available, as of publication.
