I often come across versions with other people’s configuration files. Many people try to “improve” the game with their own settings, but they actually end up making it worse. I wonder how they manage to play with those settings. If you want a clean game, check out https://csget.me/ . I downloaded the client from there. It has the default configuration and a clean console, so you can customize it to your liking. Also, in some versions, my settings would reset after every game restart, but that doesn't happen here. Do you play with the AWP often? It seems like the best and hardest weapon to use. I just can’t get used to it.

I’d also like to add that it’s important to me that the console be free of unnecessary "junk" and advertising commands that are sometimes programmed to automatically connect to questionable servers. I’m looking for a version with standard settings (ex_interp 0.01, etc.) that feels just like the original without speed hacks. Does anyone know of a site where a clean distribution is available? I want to be sure that the developers haven't tampered with the engine settings.
