While it now link sounds crazy to say, at the time, local main streets and historic buildings, in particular, were getting hit hard by the rise of large shopping malls. My dad focused on getting the store just the way he wanted it, and people link quickly began to take notice link of how much passion he was putting into the restoration process of the historic building including restoring chandeliers, cabinets, and architecture. He was truly ahead of his time on this.
