The dial is then given a galvanic surface coating. This is the first time that a Tonda 1950 Meteorite has been offered in a titanium case, as well, and Parmigiani is also releasing new versions of the abyss blue and black nickel models – also with titanium cases.For most lovers of the Fifty Fathoms, it begins with the look: 41mm in diameter, featuring a huge rotating bakelite (plastic) bezel, automatic movement, and technical innovations (a crown that could be used underwater and an "O-ring" gasket in the caseback) for water resistance.
