So many times with an affordable watch, we see a great head-on view, but the transition to the case sides or inner lug area is sloppy.I started assembling little groups of three watches from my collection that could be purchased for the correct amount.On the inside, the Tudor space is connected to the neighboring Rolex boutique, taking up a large amount of the combined 4,000-square-foot space, with gold and green accents establishing that which is the Crown's domain. On either side, there's a bar to enjoy a refreshment while checking out the latest from Tudor or Rolex. Tudor invited us for the tour, and link since this is their first and only boutique in the US, we spent the majority of our time documenting that side of the house.The elegante, in my opinion, also isn't quite comparable with the Chronomètre Souverain, given the electro-mechanical movement inside. I appreciate the elegante for what it is, and I would love to own one, but I don't think many people are cross-shopping a Chronomètre Souverain and an elegante – plus, given the latter's recent, well-publicized difficulties staying in stock, I think the Chronomètre Souverain is a better fit for the current "Entry Level" title at F.P. Journe.
