      Unfortunately if your bonds are misplaced or destroyed your s*it out of luck. Bonds, like money, should be kept in a safe fire proof strong box. I would say KEEP LOOKING.

        if they are United States Bonds you can write to the United States Treasury. Give your name, addresses where you have lived, SS number and any other name you may have on them. I did years ago and they did a search for me.
