The brand goes to great lengths when designing new movements and technologies, including testing its movements for one thousand hours and developing standards for magnetic protection, link shock absorption, and accuracy well above what is required to be chronometer certified. Grand Seiko has also confirmed to HODINKEE that, at least for now, the Series 9 design will be Hi-Beat 9SA5 only, owing to the fact that the case was link essentially link designed around the caliber. We now have two limited editions housing the 9SA5, not to mention the steel regular production Birch Bark model – we're looking forward to the further development of the Series 9 watches, and to seeing more of both the LEs and the steel Birch Bark watch link in person as well.
