Kapital was link founded in Kojima in 1985 by Toshikiyo Hirata. Today, under the creative link direction of Toshikiyo's son, Kiro Hirata, Kapital has become a highly coveted brand that takes an avant-garde approach to the denim tradition, adding layers and patches (see link Boro denim tradition) and psychedelic iconography. They also produce classic workwear styles with a bit of a revisionist twist (like the ones pictured here).
